Her artistry has been consistently lauded by critics, who commend the “spiritual depth, temperament, and flair” of her interpretations. A Journey Forged in Mastery and Innovation

Edit’s journey is one of relentless pursuit of excellence and a deep-seated belief in the learnability of true mastery. A winner of over 20 international competitions, she has graced stages across Europe, a significant portion of the U.S., as well as in Israel, Japan, and Peru. Her most recent accolades include the prestigious Rislov Foundation Award (Michigan, U.S.A.), the Three Arts Piano Competition (Ohio, U.S.A.), the Oberlin Conservatory Mozart Concerto Competition, and a finalist position in the New York Concert Artists International Competition.

Her commanding presence with orchestra is particularly notable, having performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Oberlin Orchestra, Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Newton Symphony Orchestra, Bucharest Symphony Orchestra and the Boston University Symphony Orchestra. In her native Romania, she has performed in iconic venues such as the George Enescu Festival Square, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation, and the Cluj Philharmonic, with recordings for Romanian Radio and Television. Her collaborative spirit extends to celebrated maestros including Ludovic Bacs, Bruce Hangen, and James Orent, maintaining a close artistic partnership with conductor Konstantin Dobroykov.

From Prestigious Institutions to Pioneering Pedagogy

Edit’s foundational training began at the Bucharest Conservatory under Dana Borșan and Vlad Dimulescu, followed by studies at the highly esteemed Oberlin College Conservatory, where she was a student of Peter Takacs and received the Dean’s Talent Award. She further honed her craft, completing a Master’s degree at the Boston Conservatory with Michael Lewin, and pursuing doctoral studies at Boston University with the same esteemed pianist. During her time in Boston, she was honored with the Lewitus Scholar Award and inducted by invitation into the Pi Kappa Lambda International Honors Society, a testament to her exceptional academic and musical achievements. Uniquely, Edit also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with merit from the University of Glasgow School of Law, demonstrating her diverse intellectual curiosity and rigorous analytical mind.

Leveraging her extensive performance experience and deep pedagogical insights, Edit has shared her knowledge through teaching secondary piano at Oberlin Conservatory and serving as faculty at IP Piano School and Page Music School in Boston. Her commitment to nurturing rising talent is further evidenced by her masterclasses at the Youth and Muse Boston International Music Festival and the Vivace Vilnius International Music Festival (Lithuania).
